Objective: To sum up the discourses concerning acupuncture prescriptions for disorders of blood (epistaxis, hematochezia, hematuria, hematemesis) in the medical literature from ancient to modern. To calculate the frequency of different acuponits prescribed in those prescriptions for disorders of blood statistically. To summarize the most therapeutic acupoints which are prescribed most frequently in all kinds of acupuncture prescriptions for disorders of blood.Methods: Retrieved the discourses concerning acupuncture prescriptions for disorders of blood in the medical books and periodicals of antiquity and modern times. Established the relevant database and input interrelated acupuncture prescriptions literature data. Statistically it was calculated to show the different acupoints in those prescriptions for disorders of blood. Determined three to five most therapeutic acupoints of each kind of disorder of blood mainly according to the high frequency they are prescribed.Results: Established a relevant input database by collecting detailed content like the provenance, author, method of selecting acupoints, puncturing and moxibustion, original text etc. of each kind of disorder of blood from the ancient and modern medical literature. The content of this database can be output and inquired.Conclusions: By sorting out , analyzing and researching the relevant medical literature ,summarized the most therapeutic acupoints of each kind of disorder of blood.
