Semem myristicae is the ripe kernel of Mystica fragrans Houtt. It has the effects of warming the middle jiao, purging Qi and promoting digestion . It can be used for treating the distenting pain in the stomach and abdomen , diarrhea due to deficiency cold, vomiting and indigestion of food. At present, there are about 18 different kinds of processing methods of Semem myristicae, among those methods the most used ones are as follows: roasted with wheat bran, roasted with flour, roasted with talcum powder. The method recorded in the pharmacopoeia of 2000 edition is roasted with flour. Now, every operation technics are not changeless and unificated. So, There is a great need to do the comprehensive research about Semem myristicae applying the modern techniques under the guidance of the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and unifying the processing method then found the new one, in order to provide the scientific evidence for the industry production and applying the grant number of Chinese Medicine.In this thesis, the research are studied from five aspects: species study ,chemical component study ,processing methods study ,processing principle study, quality standard study.
