| Objective:Eczema is a kind of hypersensitive and inflammatory dermatopathy with obviously exudative tendency. The trational Chinese medicine call it as "wet sore", "acute universal eczema" , etc. As regards its pathogenesis,eczema belongs to delayed hypersensitivity generated by multiple intrinsic and extrinsic provocative factors. Today, some study show that the dynamic equilibrium of Th1 and Th2 play an important role in the development of eczema. Eczema patients can be attributed to heterogeneous population according to their pathogenesis.There might be similar clinical manifestation, but the pathogenesis are not same entirely which are needed to be researched further.Because the pathogenesy of eczema now is incompletely clear and definite, therefore the particularity treatment on eczema is still not been found. At present the main treatment on eczema is antihistaminic, which act on type I allergy mainly. But the eczema pathogenesis is mainly type Ⅳ allergy. The corticosteroid and immune depressant are efficient to type IV allergy, but will produce the serious side effect, should not be forefront medicine of eczema. Chinese herbal medicine and its preparation were paid closed attention in the field of pharmacotherapeutics.Glycyrrhizic(glycyrrhizic acid) is the effective constituent of traditional Chinese drug licorice that it is the main active ingredient of meineng injection. Glycyrrhizic are used wildly in treating inflammatory dermopathy because its activity as steroid hormone.This research subject aims to discuss the clinical therapeutic effect and the possible mechanism that glycyrrhizic acid(meineng)treating on eczema patients through clinical, the empirical study and the literature review articles 3 parts, thus study the possible pathogenesis of eczema and provides the practical and feasible method and the theoretical foundation for eczema treatment. Methods:All cases are from eczema patients in Wuhan city combination of TCM with Western medicine hospital' s departmrnt of dermatology ward, which are conform to selected standard. The subjects are divided into an experiment group and a control group, enter the clinical test in turn according to the stochastic table assignment serial number registration form. The experiment group with meineng injection 40ml put into 100ml 5% glucose iv gtt, once a day,it takes 7 days in succession. The control group with gcalcium gluconate 10 mil, VitC 3 gram, put into 100ml 5% glucose iv gtt, once a day, it takes 7 days in succession. In combination Medication, two groups' patients all choose the second filial generation Antihistamine drug—luleitadin which has not lethargy effect and the self-made drug for exterior use in the hospital-Dexamethasone cremor to apply with them. Altogether 63 cases are selected, 42 cases in experimental group, complete the experimental observation on request all.28 men and 14 women among them, meanage(49.9±18)years old, the course of disease(18.2±42.2)months;21 cases in control group, among them 3 patients withdraw halfway because of the unsatisfaction with curative effect. Finally the ones that can be made appraisal of curative effect amount to 18.9 men among them, 9 women in addition, mean age(48. 2 ± 21.3) years old, the course of disease (43.8 ± 74. 1)months. The contrasts have no significance compared with two groups of patient' s ages, course of disease, area of eczema and severity index.According to the researchers' whole appraisal,the area of eczema and the severity index, pruritus degree as well as Thl/Th2 cytokine level and so on related index to evaluate the severity of pations' illness in pretherapy and 7th day of treatment.
