objective: To study the effects of Re Bi grain in treatingRA(rheumatoid arthritis). RA is a common clinical difficult disease,which rate of causing disability is high,so it influence the patient's life quality directly. In treating,there is still not a ideal effectual medicine with little toxin side effect at present. RA belongs to "Be sydrome" in TCM,which has unique understandings of the etiology and pathogeneticology of RA and has created a lot of effectual prescriptions in practice. This item aims at finding effectual and little toxin side effect prescription.which patients can have for long-time treatment.Based on the treating theory of Shanghan Zabing Lun.we choose Chinese herbal medicines which have been proved effectual by clinical practice and modern pharmacological exprements to make Re Bi grain.We use the CIA rat model,which is similar to human beings in pathogeneticology.(This model is formed by II collagen and incomplete Foud's.)This item contains two contents. One is based on the theory of immunology.We have the rate of IL-1 # and TNF- a in blood serum as the index,which have close relationship with RA in pathogeneticology to observe the effect of Re Bi grain and to find the treating causes of it.Another content is based on the theory of pathomorphology. To RA patients,their synovialis of joins have inflammation,hyperplasia,which can form vasoganglion to invade bones,cartilages,ligament,musculotendin and finally lead to deform of joins and disability. So we made tissue slice of synovialis of model rats to find the effect of Re Bi grain.Methods'- Three groups of CIA rats were treated with low.middle and highdoses of Re Bi grain, with one group of CIA rats treated with Leigong Teng and one group of CIA rats treated with normal saline as the control groups.Results'- The treatment groups were superior to the Nacl liquid control groupof symptoms and signs and in data of laboratory tests(P<0.01),and as good as the Leigong Teng control group.(P>0.05).Conclusion' Re Bi grain can significantly improve the primary and secondarypathological change and function of immunization of rats with RA.It also can alleviate the pathological lesions in the joint tissue and cell ultrastructure.
