Objective To explore the misdiagnosed causes in hydatidiform mole .Methods 45 out of 150 cases, diagnosed by pathology and clinics, were retrospectively analysed from 1999 to 2002. Results 45 cases were misdiagnosed and the total misdiagnosis rate was 30%, in which 42 cases were misdiagnosed as abortion. Conclusions The development of medical technique makes the diagnostic time of hydatidiform mole earlier than before. Clinical diagnosis becomes more difficult due to decline of typical symptoms . Clinical doctors should pay attention to such cases. |
