Wu Rong Fluid Treatment Of Children With Mild Lead Poisoning (hyperactivity), Clinical Research

Objective To evaluate the clinical therapeutic effect of Wurong Liquid on children with slight lead poisoning ( Yin- deficient and Yang-execessive ) and to study its therapeutic mechanism.Methods The random controlled observation method was adopted in this clinical research. 58 patients were divided randomly into treatment group (TG) (male, 22 cases; female, 6 cases; average age 6.00±2.24 years) and control group (CG) (ma le, 20 cases; f ema le, 5 cases; average age, 6. 20±2. 45 years). TG patients were treated with Wurong Liquid and CG patients were treated with Zhiqi Granule. The blood lead (BPb) , hemoglobin (Hb) and other indexes related to lead poisoning were measured before and after therapy and the changes were analysed .The therapy periods were both 6 weeks.Results 1 The levels of BPb in two groups all declined much after therapy (p<0. 01, p<0. 01). The difference between TG and CG about the level of descent in BPb was not obvious (p>0. 05). 2 The respective integral of Traditional Chinese medicine symptom in two groups also declined much after therapy (p<0. 01, p<0. 01). The difference between TG and CG about the integral of Traditional Chinese medicine symptom in two groups was obvious (p<0. 01). 3 The significiant efficiency , normal efficiency and total efficiency were 14. 29%, 64. 28%, 78. 57% respectively in TG and 8. 00%, 64. 00%,72. 00% respectively in CG. The effect in TG was almost same to that in CG (P>0. 05). 4 Hb in TG and CG all stepped up much after therapy (p<0. 01, P<0. 05). The difference between TG and CG about the increase of Hb between two groups was obvious (P<0, 05) .5 The white blood count and differentil count, the electrocardiograph, the function of liver and kidney all did not change much in TG(P>0. 05).Conclusion The total effect of using Wurong Liquid was almost same to that of using control medicine . It has the action of decrease of BPb and increase of Hb .It does good to improve the children's healthy conditions .The Wurong Liquid is an effective and safe medicine in the treatment of children with slight lead poisoning ( Yin-deficient and Yang-execessive ) .
