Two Efficacy Of Surgical Treatment Of Adult Forearm Fractures (48 Cases With Clinical Cases),

ObjectiveTo study the effects of limited contact-dynamic compress plate (LC-DCP) and Ni-Tishaped memory embracing plate (MEP) for treatment of both-bone forearm fractures in adult .Materials and MethodsA retrospective review of 48 adults with both-bone forearm fractures treated with internal fixation from 2001. 12 ?2003. 05 in Wuhan generalhospital of PLA is presented . twenty four patients were treated with LC-DCP, Twenty four patients were treated with Ni-Ti MEP. Statistic test was used to the average healing time of bone fracture, healing rate, re-fracture rate and the function of the forearm.ResultsAll the patients were followed up from 6 to 24 months .the average clinical healing time of A team was 13.4 weeks, B team was 14.2 weeks . the healing rate of A team was 95.8%, B team was 91.7%.Excellent results were obtained in 87.5% of A team , 83.3% in B team .There were no obvious difference (P>0. 05) of the average healing time of bone fracture, healing rate and Excellent results between A team and B team. The rate of re-fracture of A team and B team were 12. 5% and 4. 2% respectively . The rate of re-fracture were obvious difference (P<0. 05) between A team and group B team.ConclusionFor both-bone forearm fractures of adult. LC-DCP is a good fixed way .But there are no obvious difference of the average heal ing time of bone fracture,heal ing rate and Excellent results between LC-DCP and Ni-Ti MEP, rate of re-fracture of Ni-Ti MEP was lower than LC-DCP .Ni-Ti MEP provided a successful method for both-bone forearm fractures of adult .
