Objective: To study the effect of the ZiChongKeLi (ZCKL) medicated by different ways upon the follicular development of the rats.Method: Early immature rats, late immature rats and castrated mice were divided into groups with treatments of ZCKL separately by the medication of clyster and oral perfus. PSMG, Diethylstilbestrol and NuJinDan (NJD) were taken as control groups. Ovarian follicle, corpus luteum uterus index and ovarian index of the underage rats (early unmature rats and late immature rats) were counted. Cornification index(CI) of vaginal cell and uterus index of castrated mice were also counted. Histomorphology of uterus of late immature rats and castrated mice were Observed. In addition, ? in blood of Early immature rats, late immature rats and castrated mice were determinated separately by means of radioimmunoassay(RIA), electrochemiluminescence immunoassay(ECLIA) and enzyme immunoassay (ElA). Ovarian GnRH receptor was detected by immunohistochemical method.Results: The effects of ZCKL, Diethylstilbestrol and NJD were similar. Compared with blank control group, they all could increase the ovarian preantral follicles and total follicles of the late immature rats (P<0.01). ZCKL, which was offered in two ways: clyster and oral perfus, both could increase uterus index of the late immature rats(P<0.05, PO.01). For the castrated mice, it also could improve their cornification index(CI) of vaginal cell(P<0.01), uterus index(P<0.01), E2 in blood(P<0.05) and the thickness of endometrium(P<0.05). The effect of ZCKL on the follicles and the level of GnRH receptor of the Early immature rats was not evident(P>0.05). Compared with the other groups, PSMG could increase antral follicles and mature follicles of the Early immature rats(P<0.01).Conclusion:1. ZCKL, which is administrated by not only clyster but oral perfus, can improve follicular development of the late immature rats effectively. The effect of clyster can do as well as oral perfus.2. The late immature rats is more suitable to be applied in the experiments about the medicine which can promote follicle development.3. The way to promote the follicular development by means of clyster is effective.
