OBSJECTIVE: To research the TCM dialectical criteria of nephritic syndrome in children and the correlation between the dialectical typing and the impersonal variables. METHOD: our research include two parts: academic part and clinical one. To consult recent papers, summarize the TCM dialectical criteria and major symptoms of some TCM typing of nephritic syndrome. Clinical part was carried through in Jiangsu province hospital of TCM whose pediatric department was focal point subject of state grade and could assure the sample source. We selected 70 patients treated effectively by TCM and divided them randomly into two groups, which was testing group (36 samples) and controlled group (34 samples). The patients in testing group was discerned and verified with the new criteria and the other was done so with the adult criteria. Meanwhile, we tried to find the correlation between the dialectical typing and objective variables such as RBC, WBC, Hb, IgA, ALB and CHO by means of multi-factor correlation analysis. RESULT: According to academic and clinical research, we think that the dialectical typing should include two aspects: foundations and appearances. The foundations are the Qi deficiency of lung and spleen, the Qi deficiency of spleen ,the Qi deficiency of spleen and renal, the Yang deficiency of spleen and renal, the Yin deficiency of liver and renal and the deficiency of Qi and Yin. The appearances include the common cold, the moist heat, the wate, the turbid moist and the blocking of blood flow. Additionally, we have summed up the major clinical manifesting of the most typing. In clinical part, we have compared the two dialectical criteria through Chi-Square analysis and showed: there are no significant difference (P> 0.05 ) . Not only that, we also find that the dialectical typing correlate with RBC (P < 0.01 ) , Hb (P < 0.01 ) , IgA (P < 0.05 )and age (P < 0.05) through Multi-variable correlation analysis. CONCLUSION: we think that our dialectical criteria embody its scientific and advanced and are worth being generated for clinic. The objective (RBC, Hb, IgA, age) can be thought as a reference variable in TCM dialectical procedure.
