Coronary heart disease in diabetics mellitus is one of complications of diabetic macroangiopathy, is also the main lethal factor. In TCM, there are not relevant names but records about its symptoms, and it was belonged to diabetes, obstruction of qi in the chest, angina pectoris or palpitation. In addition to common diabetic symptoms, it has palpitation, short breath, chest distress and pain, hypoclynamia, purplish tongue, etc. To compare with simple coronary heart disease, it possesses other features, for example, high morbidity, fast progress and painless stenocardia, etc..With advancement of research of molecular biology and syndrome in TCM, modern medical researches on pathogenic mechanism and factors had penetrated into genie level. Research of TCM had pretty progress but short of system study. Hence, it is necessary to develop the advantage of treatment with syndrome differentiation and research the relationship between syndrome and gene polymorphism. To investigate the relationship between ACE gene Insert/Deletion polymorphism and different syndromes in TCM of coronary heart disease in diabetics, the research investigate the relationship between ACE gene I/D polymorphism and different syndromes in TCM of coronary heart disease in diabetics, based on treatment with syndrome differentiation.Recently, ACE gene is new focus in medical realm. There is close correlation between ACE gene I/D polymorphism and coronary heart disease in diabetics. ACE gene was divided into II, DD and ID three genotypes for introne 16, and DD genotype was prominent in cardiovascular system. More and more studies show that ACE gene I/D polymorphism are a lethal factor of coronary heart disease in diabetics. In the research, 52 cases were examined ACE gene I/D polymorphism, contrasted to diabetic mellitus group, coronary heart disease group and normal group. Result shows that allele D is the risk factor of three diseases. Moreover, the more complicated condition, the more superiority allele D took (frequency 62.5% in coronary heart disease in diabetics group), and what's more, DD genotype has higher trend. Among Every syndrome of DM and coronary heart disease in diabetics, ACE gene I/D polymorphism has significant diversity (PO.05). In addition to, allele D (frequency 73.8% and 56.3%) and DD genotype was the prominent at critical stages of diseases.
