Stage ¢ñ Autogenous Bone Graft To Repair Wounds, Osteomyelitis Bone Defects Clinical Observation

To investigate the methods of the treatment of bone defect with posttrauma osteomyelitis. Method: 22 patients were studied, when the disease was chronic period , after effective antibiotic administration and complete debridement, autogenous fibulas and ilia were grafted based on the length of the bone defect in first intention .As soon as the wound healed up , immobilization was done by external fixation device. Results: All bone defects had bone union within 2 to 4 months (mean 3. 5 months). The infection was completely controlled, the wound went on healing, the limbs' functions were restored variously. Conclusion: The compound methods simplified and shortened the treatment. It has special function and superiority to graft autogeneous bone in first intention to treat bone defect with posttrauma osteomylitis.
