AbstractAccording to Traditional Chinese Medicine theory, it is concluded that yang-deficiency, cold coagulation and blood stasis is the principal pathogenesis of unstable angina pectoris (for short: UAP) .So we make up the treatment principle of warming up the chest yang, removing blood stasis and activating the heart-vessels.Based on clinical practice and western medicine research ,preliminary clinical research of herbs therapy on UAP is proceeded. Thirty cases are treated with Xin Tong An?for short: XTA) in contrast with western medicine group .The study indicates that XTA can protect the function of vascular endotheliocyte, depress aggregation ,activation of platelet and synthesis of fibrin ,eliminate inflammation .As a result ,it can improve angina pectoris and clinical symptoms which is better than control group.
