| Cholangiocarcinoma is of high opportunity to invade and metastasis which leading to rapid progression and high mortality. Nowadays, the main method to treat Cholangiocarcinoma is still neoplasmoeetomy. However, no matter early excision, secondary excision, excision at second stage or liver transplantation, all of these finally end with the death due to metastasis. Therefor, it is very essential to investigate the molecular regulation of the tumor metastatic process. nm23-Hl gene was regarded as tumor suppressor gene. Reduced nm23-H1 expression has subsequently been correlated with poor patient survival or histopathological evidence of high metastatic potential in several tumor types. Here, we attempt to study the effect of nm23-H1 gene on the invasion and metastasis of cholangiocarcinoma. Our study consists of two parts. Part I The significance of protein nm23-Hl expression and cholangio -carcinoma lymph node metastasis. By using S-P immunohistochemical methods, the correlation of the expression of nm23-H1 with the biologic behavior and lymph node metastasis in the cholangiocarcinoma was studied,The positive expression rate of nm23-H1 protein in 52 cholangiocarcinoma were 63%. There were significant differences among different histopathological types and degrees of differentiation of nm23-Hl (P |
