ABSTRACT objective :To analyse the charateristics of the femoral head necrosis (FHN) on MRI findings and discuss its value. Materials and Methods: 70 cases(121 hips) MRI films of FHN patients were recruited. In 121 hips conventional radiography~ CT and ECT were examined. Results:㎝RI findings of FHN in 70 cases(121 hips) included: the line-like sign(98%) containing single-line (27%),double-line (42%),three- line (13%) and four-line (1 6%),none of the line-like sign(2%),the crescent sign of MIRI(9%),marrow edema(52%),the cystic changes(23%) containing that T1 is low intensity and T2 is high intensity( 7 %), T1 is low intensity and 12 is high intensity mix with both T1 and T2 are low intensity (7 %), T1 is low intensity and T2 is higher intensity (4%), both T1 and T2 are low intensity ( 5 %), and the effusion in the hip joint(69%). ?The joint effusion and the extent of fluid are more present in femoral head fracture than no fracture(p<0.001).㊣t has statistical significance to detect intraosteal focus in the femoral head by IvIRI and CT or conventional radiography (p
