B Ultrasonic Instrument To The Pc Platform Interface

With the development of Personal Computer (PC), the cost of the PC is decreased greatly. On the other hand, the function and computing capability of PC are enhanced greatly. A new designing idea of B mode ultrasonic instrument is presented. According to this new idea, the critical problem is how to interface between the PC and the front part of the B mode ultrasonic instrument.The paper fully discussed how to interface between the PC and the front part of the B mode ultrasonic instrument based on PCI bus. It includes the hardware design and software design.In the hardware design part, the FPGA designing and PCI interface card designing are described in detail.In the software design part, the interface software designing, the VxD and the WDM driver is discussed.
