Abstract/Summary:
The Apoptosis of Human Lens Epithelial Cells in Vitro Induced by Ultraviolet Radiation and it?s Inhibition Postgraduate: Ye Bo Tutor: Lan Xuda Abstract Objective:To research the human lens epithelial cells apoptosic rate induced by ultraviolet (LW) radialion of different dose nd the inhibitory effect of \t E and Rgl. Methods:Conflurent tnonolayers of culture human lens epithelial cells were exposed to ultraviolet lamps emiting predoininently EVA radiation. These cells were exposed a mixture 1098 Jicm2 of LW per h. In different time :6 minute, 12 minute, 18 minute the aDoptosic rate of cells were surveyed separately with flow cvtometry and the ultrastructure were delected with electron microscopy. In culturel medium without or with Vit E lOug/ml or Rgl SOug,/ml. The cells apoptosic rate were s u r v eve a. Result:At 6? 12?,18?:the aoptosic rate was 20%. 53%. 81% respectively. The apoptc)si rate of cells in culture medium without Vjt E or Rgl increased when comnared wi ?that added i.n Vii E (p < 0. Ofl or added inRgl (p< 0. 01). The cells were damaged hy LV separated, memhrance hulg&d and apoptosis h? aoeared. Conclusion: UV can induce the apoptosi s of rhe human lensepithel ia1 ce1ls. The apoptosic raLe increase' with increasing the dose of LV radiation. VitE and Rg1 could inhibit the apoptos1s inducedby LV radiation.
