IntroductionDiabetes is a common endocrine and metabolic diseases, diabetes morbidity rose rapidly in our country and seriously harm people's health along with lifestyle changes and the acceleration of the aging process. Constitution of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) refers to integrated and relatively stable inherent characteristics of morphological structure, physiological function and psychological states on the basis of congenital and acquired in the course of human life, is human personality traits fitting with the natural and social environment suited in human growth and development process. Constitution is an important factor for disease, so, Constitution theory as a guide to investigate diabetic patients'type of constitution to explore the physical laws of type 2 diabetes, to provide constitution theory reference for the clinical study. This paper divided into three parts, the first part is the literature review; second part is the theoretical discussion, the third part is the clinical investigation. This paper divided into three parts, the first part is the literature review; the second part is the theoretical discussion, the third part is the clinical invest igation.First part-literature review, through the survey research and analysis of study status of diabetes and constitution and the study status of diabetes pathogenesis of TCM, that Law of development of diabetes, from the whole perspective of comprehensive study of the dynamic concept of it is very necessary.TCM theory of constitution is the characteristic; the type of constitution is judgments of a certain stage of the overall state of body.Study of Pathogenesis of diabetes and constitution must combine and overall, dynamically, and more effectively guide clinical practice.second part-- through description of the physiological basis of constitution and the relationship between diabetes and constitution in the in《Huang Di Nei Jing》,propose that fundamental principles to prevent the disease are"Maintain sufficient Jing", harmony of yin and yang, keep Qi Mai unblocked, keep Ping He constitution."The third part-the clinical investigation Objective:There are close relationships between constitutions and morbidity as well as pathological changes and outcome in Constitution of TCM, in view of rising diabetes morbidity and physical and psychological harm to patients resulted from chronic complications. So through investigation I hope to compare type 2 diabetes patients'constitutions with healthy persons' to explore the constitution law in type 2 diabetes group. Methods:Adopted the TCM constitution classification and determinant standard published by Association of Chinese Medicine and constitution self-test table to collect the constitution information in the form of questionnaire and to statistical analysis and seek differences. This study was carried out in the form of On-site cross-sectional survey.Subjects:Inpatients and outpatients with type 2 diabetes were enrolled on March 2010 to 2010 on July in Beijing Fu-Xing hospital and some cases from other hospitals in Beijing. Community healthy people were enrolled into control group. Research contents:Diabetic group includes sex, age, course of disease, height, weight and quality of life. Control group including gender, age, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, quality of life. Constitution differences were compared within each group and between the groups. Results:Type 2 diabetes and control groups have in common is:Pinghe constitution takes a certain proportion, is one of the main constitution type. The differences are:In type 2 diabetes group, the main constitutions are Yin deficiency constitution and Qi deficiency constitution and Tanshi constitution; In control group the main constitution is Yang deficiency constitution. In type 2 diabetes group, Increased with age, the proportion of Qi deficiency constitution and Yang deficiency constitution increase; In control group, the proport ion of Qi deficiency cons ti tut ion and blood stasis const i tut ion increase. In type 2 diabetes group, Yin deficiency constitution, Qi deficiency constitution and Tanshi constitution are the risk factors of quality of life; in control group, blood stasis constitution and Tanshi constitution are. Overall comparison of type 2 diabetes group and control group:in type 2 diabetes group, the proportion of Yang deficiency constitution and Pinghe constitution was lower, the proportion of Yin deficiency constitution, Qi deficiency constitution, Tanshi constitution were higher. Discussion:Pinghe constitution takes a certain proportion in the two groups, which indicates it was people' main constitution type reflects the dominant position of the Zheng Qi. Groups of type 2 diabetes were characterized by Yin deficiency, Qi deficiency, Tanshi, but the most important one was Yin deficiency. The nature can be seen near the pathogens of diabetes, Yin deficiency causing fire-Tan filled.Yin deficiency causing fire in Diabetes mainly was caused by "Liu Fu excessive yang. " The fundamental reason was Yin deficiency in Five Zang, no enough "Jing" to match the Yang, phlegm blocked Qi road heat was produced, so people took too much food or always felt thirst.Five Zang belong to Yin, Cool and its faction was store; SIX Fu belong to Yang, Hot and its faction was running. They ought to have good collaboration to keep balance between them. When the constitutions have changed, diseases emerge. There are so many reasons led to constitutions changing. That was vulnerability before birth, or waste of vital essence, or too much lust, or depression, or excessive physical using and so on.The constitution development trend was Yin deficiency constitution to Qi constitution and Yang deficiency constitution. That demand physicians take care of Zheng Qi. Focus on individual therapy and improve efficacy.
