The Rights Of Migrant Workers To Build A Harmonious Society In The Process Of Security Research

Since the reform and opening up and the development of social market economy in China, and a new wave of industrialization and urbanization in China, large numbers of rural people and rural labor force move to cities and engage in non-agriculture related work. The rural population working in Chinese cities is called"peasant workers,". It is very difficult for peasant workers, to integrate into local communities and their legitimate rights and interests are not well safeguarded. Therefore, the issue of peasant workers, is still a serious concern in China. Based on the national conditions of the primary stage of socialism, guided by principles of Marxism, Maoism and the Theory of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, and proceeding from the Scientific View of Development, this article makes a deep analysis of the significance of the protection of peasant workers,'rights and interests to the building of a well-off society in an all-around way and to the process of building a harmonious socialist society in China.The crux with the peasant workers, is the rights protection for the peasant workers,, in other words, is about how to efficiently maintain the economic rights, political rights and social rights of the peasant workers,. In the new century, our country has not only paid attention to the issues concerning agriculture, countryside and farmers but also that of the peasant workers,, with a number of policies and laws and regulations for the issue being introduced. But there is still a gap between the target and the reality. The peasant workers, often should face labor right encroachment, insufficient social protection and low possibility of political participation, which causes"disharmony"in society and disturbs the social harmony. But if we deeply analyze the right encroachment upon the peasant workers, we could find that there are institutional cause, ideological cause and inherent cause combined to lead to such a problem. In terms of the institutional cause, the dual economic and social structure still exists in urban and rural areas and the current political and lawful regulations is incomplete and to be improved, in terms of the ideological cause, there is common discrimination against the peasant workers, in society, and in terms of the inherent cause, the awareness among the peasant workers, of self right protection still has much room to be enhanced. A harmonious society needs the problem solved fairly and appropriately through institutional construction, ideological transformation and peasant workers,'quality improvements, so as to realize the industrial and urbanized targets and contribute to the socialistic harmonious society.
