The implementation of ERP promotes enterprise management and reform, and the success of ERP implementation will have a direct impact to the enterprise operation and development. In the process of ERP implementation, there are a lot of success stories and painful lessons, so the expected goals must be ensured by the right strategies and methods. The lack of ERP project success is not technology, but the executor and the implementation method, and implementation method is the most important.This article takes SINOPEC as the research object. SINOPEC is China's largest manufacturer and supplier of petroleum products and major petrochemical products, and it's also China's second largest crude oil producer. SINOPEC is currently constructing the information system, mainly ERP project, to enhance overall competitiveness.This article first introduces the concept of the ERP system, the purpose, risks and methodology of implementation, lays the theoretical foundation for research. Next, it introduces the information technology development trend of the petroleum and petrochemical industry, by the analysis of ERP implementation process in SINOPEC, pointes out the problems. Third, it uses the critical success factors analysis to find out the key factor in ERP project of SINOPEC. Finally,it sums up the ERP implementation methodology of SINOPEC.This article combines theory and practice, the study conclusion has some target to SINOPEC,it has practical value in practice of enterprise ERP implementation and can be used for reference by similar enterprises.
