The Research of The Performance Management on The Positions of The Corporate Banking Business of X sub-branch X BankAs the reform of China's economy going further in recent years, Chinese commercial banks which assume the most important part in the domestic financial industry, have been transforming their historical roles of the State Purse into the highly market-oriented enterprises with complete corporate management structure and modern internal control mechanism.The banking business of assets and liabilities which is related to corporate, government and other institutions are called Corporate Businesses or Wholesale Banking Business.The positions of corporate business include customer marketing, risk controlling, business approving and business handling etc.As the statistic indicates, the corporate banking business is the most important part in the bank, which contributes over 70% to its profit. As one of the most important tools in the human resource management, the performance management not only provides the basic references for employee's position transferring, promotion and salary raising, but also acts as the important foundation to motivate employees and enhance their efficiency, so as to achieve the operating goals of an organization. To sum up,the performance management mechanism of corporate banking business in a bank can somehow decide the competency, profitability and sustainability of a bank.First chapter of this paper made a brief introduction to the concept, content and the relative position of the corporate business in a bank, and by means of statistics and graphics, the paper illustrated the importance of both the corporate business in a bank and performance management for a company. Finally this paper pointed out the significance and value of establishing a highly efficient performance management mechanism concerning the positions of the corporate banking business.In chapter 2, this paper demonstrated the relative theories including strategic human resource management, performance management, KPI (Key Performance Indicators), BSC (Balanced Score Card) etc. In chapter 3,this paper made an overview of the organizational structure, the development of the corporate business and the relative position of the bank in which the author is currently serving. And this paper pointed out the problems in the existing performance management mechanism. In the chapter 4, this paper put forward the improvement plan on the performance management by making use of the theories in the previous chapter including constructing the performance appraisal indicators in a strategic perspective, systematically operating the performance management etc. The chapter 5 was the conclusion of this paper.
