Southwest Regional Food Production Technology Investments

Agriculture is the basis of the national economy; the crop production is the basis of the agriculture. China is a country with large population, the farm land per capita is only 0.1 hectare. If use the world criterion, it's only half. After entering the 21 century, China's population broke through 1.3 billion, it is estimated that China's population will amount to 1.6 billion, farm land per capita will reduce a quarter by 2030. The safety crop production issue is an important issue relating the safety of China. The southwest national areas cover Si Chuan, Guizhou, Chongqing and Yunnan province, as border cities, these four cities play crucial role in China's safety and social development. In this knowledge economy era, land, capital and labor play an important role, but technology is also a crucial element in agricultural development. This thesis will analyze the investment in technology in the southwest of China, searching a solution to develop the agriculture, maintaining the crop safety, making people lead a well-off life, reducing crop problems in China.This paper based on the theory of technology economic method; analyze tech investment, getting the result that the growth of agricultural production includes the contribution of production element investment and the increase in the elements production rate. The increase of tech efficiency and the advancement of technology will contribute the increase of production rate. The government, companies and local farmers are the main investor, so the paper will analyze the main participators.
