With the rapid growth of China-made cellular phone export, China plays an increasingly important role in the global market. Over 80% of the cellular phones are made in the country. Accompanying the great business opportunities, however, are a number of challenges and risks, which have turned out to be road-blockers for the growth of Chinese cellular phone export. The thesis studies the problems pertaining to the industry, analyzes the current export module, and suggests a new export model of China made cellular phones together with a case study of SHIFL. The thesis is structured in the order of problems' presentation, analysis, and solution. It concludes with a proof of the suggested solution.First, the thesis reviews the global cellular phone manufacturing industry, studies the status quo of China made cellular phone export. It analyzes the problems of this industry with reference to some professional research work and identifies some major concerns, such as (1) limited resources invested in technology and product innovation, (2) underdeveloped quality warranty and after-sales service, and (3) lack of motivation and capabilities to improve brand advantages.Second, the thesis makes a detailed analysis of the advantages and disadvantages, opportunities and threats of China made cellular phone export by means of SWOT Analysis. It defines the growth strategy by exploring the solution to core competences and product marketing. The thesis believes that, from micro-perspective, innovation in technology, production, cost control and marketing is a must for the industry of China made cellular phone industry and that, from macro-perspectives, innovation in export model and after-sale services is a must for China-made cellular phones to improve their competitiveness. Therefore, only by reforming the current export model and setting up a new one can the industry address all the problems and issues.Furthermore, the thesis analyzes the current export model of China made cellular phones. It presents a new export model based upon internet marketing, whose framework and characteristics are explained by means of contrastive analysis.Finally, the thesis studies SHTFL's constructing the new export model. The real case proves the validity and value of the new export model as of China made cellular phones.
