Since The Reform And Opening Up Of China's Foreign Direct Investment Research

Foreign direct investment is an important component of our "going out" strategy. It is an important component to protect our national economy security, a positive response to the challenges of economic globalization, active participation in international labor division, take good advantage of two kinds of resources and two markets to avoid trade barriers abroad, absorb advanced foreign technology and management experience and external information to grasp the positive initiatives. Since reform and opening up, Chinese foreign direct investment has been growing over the past 30 years. Especially in the new century, China's foreign direct investment is booming, and continuing to develop in short-term trend.This paper is based on the reality of China's foreign direct investment issues, learning from previous research on the issue. The author examined and picked up the 30 year history of foreign direct investment since China's reform and opening up. The stage of foreign direct investment in China's history is divided into four phases that were studied and described. At last, the author draws the relevant conclusions. History part is the subject and the emphasis of this article. Since the reform and opening up, history of foreign direct investment in China is divided into four stages: from 1979 to 1991, the beginning stage of China's foreign direct investment, in this stage China's foreign direct investment level is still very low and the fluctuations are more frequent; from 1992 to 2001, China's foreign direct investment for the initial development stage, in this stage foreign direct investment of China has developed significantly. From 2002 to 2007 is the rapid development stage. The last part is china's foreign direct investment of new stage. Above the four stages, China's foreign direct investment policies, investment profile, investment characteristics and investment motives, and constraints, etc. were explained in detail.
