On The Impact Of Sa8000 On The Sustainable Development Of Enterprises And The Their Countermeasures In China

Since the corporate social responsibility (CSR) has begun in 1920's, it has been welcomed and promoted around the world. Enterprises concern more about the natural resources, ecological environment, laborers'rights and interests, and business ethics, as well as undertake more responsibilities of relevant stakeholders and society. In 2001, the first international social responsibility standard certified by third party——SA8000 put into effect formally in the worldwide. Though it is only a voluntary standardized code, it has immeasurable impact on the manufacture, operation and management of the enterprises. Furthermore, some of the developed countries enforce the SA8000 forcefully to tighten access for enterprises and their product of developing countries, thus some enterprises in our countries has been affected. Under the situation, according to the requirement of scientific concept of development, Chinese enterprises should implement the SA8000 standard to enter international markets, enhance their competitiveness and promote sustainable development. This thesis basing on the analysis of the general relation between SA8000 and enterprise sustainable development, studies the impact of SA8000 on the enterprise sustainable development in China and puts forward some effective measures.This thesis includes three parts: part one is the introduction, which making summary and analysis in background of selected topic, research meaning, current research situations at home and abroad, and research contents and method used; part two is the body, which consisting three chapters ; and part three is the conclusion. In the body, the first chapter has analyzed the general relation between enterprise's sustainable development and SA8000; the second chapter has introduced the impact of SA8000 on enterprise's sustainable development in our country; and the third chapter has put forward the measures to meet the SA8000 and promote the sustainable development of the enterprises. This thesis is designed to, after analyzing the definition of enterprise sustainable development, the meaning of SA8000, and the general relation between the two, basing on the analysis of the relation between the enterprise in China and SA8000, the status quo as well as the existing problems and their reasons of implementing SA8000 in China, put forward the suggestions and measures of meeting SA8000 and promoting enterprise's sustainable development. It aims to prove that in the current situation which corporate social responsibility has been concerned much, the effective way to promote the enterprise's sustainable development is to implement the SA8000 standard.This thesis attempts to make some new idea by combining sustainable development and basic requirements of the scientific concept of development, proposes the measures the enterprise should take to adapt to SA8000 and promote enterprise sustainable development. However, when I define the nature of SA8000 I haven't furnished with enough theoretical bases, and used the mathematical model and other theories when analyzing the relation between SA8000 standard and enterprise's sustainable development, which is I should complete in my follow-up study.
