It dissertates the general theories of performance appraisal by introducing the performance appraisal principles and comparing and nanalysing the appraisal methods. Then, the paper analysises the current situation of performance appraisal in Changqing oilfield company and explores the existing problems as well as the causes in performance appraisal. Finally, based on work analysis, by comprehensively using the means of AHP, key performance indicator method, critical incident assessment method, target management method, etc. the paper discusses the financial staff performance appraisal system which uses the ways of focusing on critical performance indicators supported by work position and work target evaluation index considerations, and combining the quantitative assessment and qualitative evaluation. The paper also has an imperical analysis on performance evaluation index selection, weight distribution, etc.Based on Changqing Oilfield actuals, the paper systematically expounds the performance appraisal of the implementation steps, performance appraisal application of the results, discusses the need for supporting the implementation of performance evaluation measures, tries the best to keep the appraisal accurate and the methods appropriate, thus to establish a comprehensive, scientific performance appraisal system for Changqing oilfield financial staff.
