The concept of logistics has been struck root in the hearts of the people just nearly one century since the birth of the concept of modern logistics early 20th century. The logistics industry has been hailed as the "accelerator" of the economic development; it reflects its increasingly important role and become an important indicator of the status of national economic development and the strength of overall national power especially in economic globalization, increasingly market competition with the concept of long-term benefits. In the focus of national and enterprise, though the logistics as "import" in China, it is also show a good development momentum. What is the best proof is the government promulgated the "planning the revitalization of the logistics industry" in bottom of the financial crisis. The logistics industry and economic share the rapid development has become an indisputable fact from the data of recent years. But we still can not be carried away by heat. We need to see a clear in the development of logistics industry in order to ensure the development faster and better of logistics industry. Our logistics industry is still in the early stages and has some drawbacks inevitably._Lots of different industries are keen on the logistics investment such as logistics center,_But actually it is often seen the phenomenon of department separation, trade monopoly, the local blockade, resulting in no connection between them._This will not achieve the scale economics of the initial mind of logistics construction, but also result in duplication of construction, a tremendous waste of resources. The logistics industry can no longer follow the overcapacity road such as cement, steel industry. Therefore, this paper attempts to brand-new perspective as the economic growth to test the development of logistics. As the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region's GDP annual growth rate of seven consecutive ranks first in the country, and_its own geographical conditions in which the logistics industry has developed rapidly, Therefore we select the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to analyze the relationship between the logistics development and economic growth have it is own representativeness. And we can give some advise about it.We will take theoretical analysis and empirical analysis method to study in this paper. First, the development of logistics theory, macro-economic growth theory and the relationship between logistics development and economic growth theory and some relevant will be reviewed. Second, the article will elaborate the status quo about the logistics development and economic growth in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the same is divided into the logistics industry status and economic situation status to discuss. Next we will have a brief SWOT analysis to find the advantages, disadvantages of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The next is the core of this article, we will Select data from 1980 to 2008 including logistics miles, logistics output, GDP to do empirical analysis, use the unit root test, cointegration test and Granger causality test to find the final analysis of the logistics development and economic growth causality, then interpretation of results of the analysis and propose countermeasures. Empirical results showed that the relationship between the logistics mileage and the GDP is one-way, GDP growth is the reason for the increase mileage and vice versa does not hold. But the logistics output and GDP have a strong causal relationship.Based on the above empirical results, we can get the conclusion and at the same time, we can elicit some reasonable advise to promote the logistics industry development and economic growth, will write in the last part of the article.
