The Leading Industries In Hunan Province, Selection And Development Of Countermeasures Research

Leading industries can improve the regional industrial development, it is the core of regional industrial structure and main embodiment of regional specialty economy. The regional leading industry as the economic growth polarof different stages in regional economic development has the guiding and pulling roles for the evolvement directions and trends of regional economies' industrial structure. How Hunan makes use of its rich natural resources advantage, and turns the resources advantages to be economic advantages, and makes the rational choice according to concrete circumstances and cultivates the leading industries ,then promotes up grating Hunan's industrial structure, speeding up economic development, is indeed a must to be seriously considered when considering Hunan's present regional economy development. According to the question above, based on interviews from exports, lots of related literatures and investigations in Hunan provinces, this paper studies how to choose Hunan's leading industry.This article sums up the international and national scholars' theoretic research production about the selection benchmark, estimate index and selection method, in order to supply a theoretic flat for establishing the model of the choice of leading industry.this paper utilizes the basic Principle of regional economics, the industrial economics, the national economics and the principle component analysis model .the author takes choosing of regional leading industry as the research content, in the foundation of the already achievements, unifies actual situation of the local economy development, and has conducted the research taking Hunan province as the example.the related theories commences from the leading industry, by analysised the evolvement path of Hunan's industry structure, and compared with other five provences in central region of China, explains the principles and criteries of choosing Hunan's leading industries, and then extablishes the index system for making industrial choices, and then applies the results to the principle component analysis, combined the historical data of Hunan provence, and conducts the qualitative analysis to choose six industries as the leading industry of Hunan provence. At last, the text analysised the advantages and the weakness in Hunan's leading industries, and make some suggestions about the development. Such a series of research can provide the reference for decision making, in order to achieve the rapid adjustment of industrial structure, to promote the harmonious development of industry and region, to realize the regional economies sustainable development.
