Analysis Of The Economics Of Tourism Development

"Tourist resort" is commonly referred to "tourist destination" in English, which means some places to which visitors are traveling. However, the author believes that, "tourist resort" is above all a tourist destination, and is essentially a complex in tourist production as well as a rallying point of tourist industry which gathers a certain spatial scale of the tourist attractions. The key to develop the tourist resorts lies in assembling tourism component and tourist economic activities. This thesis is composed of six chapters based on the dissection type analysis to carry out the above questions.ChapterⅠis introduction. This section is to pose questions, expound the research significance, methods as well as framework, and define the concept of tourist resorts, tourism activities.ChapterⅡis literature review. This chapter is to give a general review on the typical theories and views at home and abroad based on the following three aspects including spatial structure of tourism, life cycle and sustainable development of tourist resorts.ChapterⅢis to explain the related concepts and basic theories of the development of tourist resorts, and analyze the connotation of tourist resorts and tourism system from the systematizing view. The author illustrates the influence factors of development of tourist resorts in this section and elaborates the basic theories used in this paper—Factor Endowment Theory and Agglomeration Economic Theory.ChapterⅣis to analyze the life cycle of sustainable development of tourist resorts from economic view. The general rules of development of tourist resorts are comprehensively studied in this chapter: factor endowment is foundation to the development of tourist resorts; agglomeration is the motive power of its development; government involvement is the great bulwarks of its development.ChapterⅤis to introduce some typical applications based on theories development of tourist resorts. Taking Wuzhen Town as an example, this paper put the principal into practice, and analyze in detail on the development of tourist resorts from an economic point of view.ChapterⅥis conclusion, summarizing key issues of the development tourist resorts.
