Microfinance has been proven to be an effective anti-poverty tool in the world. At present, economic and social transformations course the growing gap between the rich and poor in China. How to increasing the income and wealth for the poor is a major problem to build a harmonious society.GB model is recognized as a successful operation attempt of microfinance. GB model is a template for many organizations to design their practices of microfinance in more than 110 countries and regions, and most replications of GB model have worked well. In recent years, China government and NGOs begin to apply microfinance tools and learn operations model from GB. Therefore, finding the methods that how to use GB model and develop the microfinance programmers in cities are important and positive.This paper analyzes the characters of GB model and Tianjin microfinance Project, by comparing with GB model and Tianjin project to give some operation advices. Paper includes five chapters, Chapter 1 explains the background, status, priorities and framework. Chapter 2 introduces the relative theories of the micro-credit, which contains the microfinance, financial repression, welfare economics and development status in foreign countries. Chapter 3 introduces the Gtammen Bank(GB) model, consists of model functions and operations, organization, management system. Chapter 4 analyzes the Tianjin microfinance project from operation designing and evaluation. Chapter 5 gives some recommendations about application of GB model in microfinance projects in cities.The study has some deficiency in the practice and the solutions themselves. There is enormous space for me to develop myself. I hope experts will give me some criticisms and suggestions to improve my ability in the future study.
