Yc Company Assembly Plant Lean Manufacturing Applied Research

With the advancement of reform and opening-up, China has been playing a very important role in world economy. The competition in product, cost, quality and service of Chinese auto industry is getting more and more intense. In order to secure foothold and development, enterprises have to boost their competitiveness continuously by improving cost efficiency, quality, quick delivery and production flexibility. Studies have proved that lean Lean production is one of the methods to boost competitiveness. This paper deals with the lean production in the assembly workshop of YC company. A proper lean production proposal has been introduced to YC assembly workshop after analyzing the practical production process in the workshop and circumstances and resources of YC company.In the paper the connotation and features of lean production are expounded on the basis of research and application of domestic and overseas lean production systems. The comparison of lean production and mass production are made. Theory, means and methods of lean production are discussed systematically. Ideas and methods of JIT logistics and VMI are introduced.On basis of analysis of products and facilities of YC company, production process in the assembly workshop is diagnosed. Then the unreasonable points on assembly line, logistics distribution and work plan are analyzed. According to the concept of lean production, the production program for the assembly workshop has been formulated and improved. The application work involves the order management, reconstruction of the assembly line, implementation of standard operation, improvement of logistics distribution and innovation of stock management.Related work is explained in the paper, concerning supervision, execution of 5S, TPM and IT support. After trial production, the production period, the delivery rate for order, production efficiency, fund in stock, products in process and line balance are improved.
