Most products of electric power supervision enterprises are based on a kind of typical technology called PLC (Power Line Communication). However, PLC is a double blade that has obvious advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is lower cost, since it could communicate by the on-site power line instead of paving new communication lines. But the disadvantage is that the communication effect will be easily influenced by on-site power situation. Thus, the process of product research and development based on PLC technology will introduce prominent cross-functional conflicts. And this paper aim to provide the cross-functional modulation mechanism to avoid such conflicts.Based on the real case of PLC product research and development, this paper establishes a Game Theory model to theoretically analyze the cross-functional conflicts through project management. Selected by the research questionnaire, the data is concluded and analyzed statistically. With theory analysis and demonstration, the paper researches how to establish cross-functional coordination mechanism in PLC product research and development.The paper figures that the cross-functional coordination mechanism of PLC product research and development would be made up by three steps. Firstly, reconstruct the cross-functional department by the reorganization of the former corporation structure. Secondly, establish the cross-functional communication mechanism to prevent and relieve the conflicts among different departments. Thirdly, set up a cross-functional performance appraisement system to improve the team efficiency and ensure the staff assessment equity.The cross-functional coordination mechanism of PLC product research and development can reduce the cross-functional conflicts and improve the production efficiency as well as enhance the marketing competition. We hope that our view here could benefit the management and control in the process of the PLC product research and development as well as help the research of the cross-functional coordination mechanism.
