China's Auto Companies, Independent Innovation Model Study

After 20 years' growth along with the way of "Exchanging Market for Technology",China has become a major automobile manufacture country in the world,together with development of its national economy and automobile consumer market.However,Chinese auto-enterprises' autonomous innovation capacity is far from strong which is absolutely necessary for China from a major auto-manufacture country to a powerful automobile realm.This thesis focuses the research on autonomous innovation pattern,of Chinese auto-enterprises,in order to present the suggestions in promoting autonomous innovation capacity and enhancing its competence advance.At first,the thesis narrates the global automobile industry center's transfer and its development trend,compares the innovation pattern of auto-enterprises of Japan and Korea,reviews development procedure of Chinese auto-industry,especially of the two famous auto-enterprises:the Chery Automobile Corporation,Ltd.and the Geely Holding Group.According to innovation theory and the technology progress curve,the thesis analyses the barriers to autonomous innovation among Chinese auto-enterprises.Based on the elaboration above,the thesis points out that all three autonomous innovation patterns,including original innovation,integrate innovation,introducing-digesting-absorbing-and re-innovation,are possible choices for Chinese auto-enterprises.Then the thesis presents the fundamental elements of autonomous innovation pattern design for the Chinese auto-enterprises among which Chinese joint-venture auto-enterprises mainly concerned because of its leading position in China currently.The elements are:protection of intellectual property right,training innovation capacity of human resouces,guiding and supporting from governmental industrial policies,exploring the reasonable joint-venture module which is beneficial to the autonomous innovation,forming scale-production and higher production capacities, implementing multi-product policy,improve the pattern of technology introducing and encouraging multi-direction of autonomous innovation.At last as an empirical analysis,the thesis presents development procedure of Jiangling Motors Corporation Group(JMCG),and delivering policy suggestions in implementing autonomous innovation and enhancing innovation competence accordingly.
