Chiang Ching-kuo And Chinese Regional Economic Modernization Research

Chinese society in 20th century was the society complete with revolution and construction. In the first half of the century, the Chinese community's main focus was on against foreign aggression but social economic modernization in a subordinate position. When people throughout the country were developing the wartime economy, the Fourth Administrative Region situated in the far south-east of China created a distinguishable road of economy and construction named "building a new Gannan", Chiang Ching-kuo who was assigned as Commissioner and Security commander not only made"a three-year plan"and"a five-year plan", but he also led and implemented the plan. As a result, the economic development of Gannan had been made substantial progress. In the second half of the 20th century, when the Third modernization was spreading throughout the Taiwan Strait and the motherland, Chiang Ching-kuo ruled Taiwan in the early 1970s.In his efforts, Taiwan's economy was diverted from the traditional to the modern. Over the past years, we have often discussed separately Chiang Ching-kuo and Taiwan's economy, which is obviously biased. Which relationship is there between Chiang Ching-kuo and modernization of China's economy? this is my main objective why I dissect.In this paper, it contains seven chapters. The first chapter 1: to describe the cause of writing and meaning of research, relevant academic history recall, the relevant conception definition, the data and methods of research, the ideas and innovation of research.The second chapter mainly relates the sprout of economic construction thought of Chiang Ching-kuo. It was thought that Chiang Ching-kuo was inspired an idea to change undeveloped China when living and studying in the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union's socialist construction experience had provided him with a blueprint to do economic modernization in the future. He went back China and accepted the theory of the people's livelihood which comprised the theory of Chiang Ching-kuo to plan economic development,The third chapter mainly introduce the development of the local economy when Chiang Ching-kuo was in Gannan. I use historical comparison to compare the changes of local agricultural, industrial, commercial and urban before and after Chiang Ching-kuo came to Gannan. in order to state degree of economic progress. during the Anti-Japanese Wartime.The fourth chapter focuses on Taiwan's economic modernization. This part has an issue how to choose time. the author mainly opts his stage as the watershed when Chiang Ching-kuo was appointed as president of the Executive Yuan and participated fully in economic construction. I shall detail modernization process during the local farmers, workers, the city Taiwan ruled Chiang Ching-kuo.The fifth chapter gradually explore similarities and differences of Chiang Ching-kuo between Gannan economic construction and Taiwan's economic modernization of the similarities and differences. on the basis of the foregoing ones.The sixth chapter is the core part of this paper. Chiang Ching-kuo firstly promoted China's economic modernization process in the provincial-level region. However, his wrong political orientation is detrimental to Taiwan's economic modernization.The seventh chapter as ending part summarizes above every chapters.
