Been set up since 1980,Guizhou express postal mail service(EMS) has progressively increased its total revenue year by year. In 2007,the total revenue for Guizhou postal service will amount to 800 million yuan,in which the revenue for EMS will reach 110 million yuan, therefore, EMS enjoys a very great prospect. With the advancement for economical globalization and marketablization and the more than 30 year development, the world express mail service has grown to be a giant industry with rich commercial profits \huge market scale and tremendous potentiality. In recent years ,the demand for express mail service will grow rapidly in our country,which brings a good development opportunity for EMS. In the next several years, the total yearly turnover for express mail service market is estimated to increase 25%.The market potential for EMS is still really tremendous.But ,along with the logistics industry further opening ,more and more international logistical giants will set foot on the domestic market,which will certainly bring up severe challenge to EMS. At the stage of initial development ,the domestic logistical enterprises have lag far behind with those overseas,although they are growing rapidly. Therefore, haow to construct the core competivity appears extremely important to Guizhou postal service. To adapt to the hot competition in express mail service market, enhance its core competitive power, supply a better sercice for the customers, and seek a lasting long-term development,Guizhou postal service must establish itself a unique competition strategy.Facing the stern challenge home and abroad, through research on the competitors , applying the competition strategy and the relevant logistical theories, the thesis has carried on the detailed analysis and research to the present situation and futual development of Guizhou express mail service ,which will present actual datas and competive strategies to the decision -making people and therefore has extremely practical significance.
