With the development of economic globalization and the communication , McDonald's which represents American snack industry rapidly establishes it's fast food empire in the world ,meanwhile, spread abroad its company's culture and pattern in different countries. This kind of snack industry is not only acclimatized itself to the development of society , winning the favor of the youth, but also as a format of snack industry , McDonaldization, expands to various social fields, which brings phenomenon are defined as snack culture. This culture just incarnates McDonaldization.In the 1980s', Ritzer ? George, a famous scholar in the sociological theory and practice field, firstly put forward the definition: McDonaldization in his book the McDonaldization of Society . Then, he summarized the main contents of McDonaldization that is efficiency, Calculability, Predictability and control in his second book The McDonald's Nightmare.McDonaldization infiltrates into various fields in our society, causing the social McDonaldization. I intend to reveal how McDonald's influents the other fields of the society based on summarizing the core of McDonaldization by using the theories in communication such as cultivation analysis, semeiology, information circumstance and so on, analyzing communication characteristics of McDonaldization. Meanwhile, McDonaldizaton not only influents the whole American society but also McDonaldization which has American cultural background transmits American values and affect the multiple culture in its global developing era. Moreover, there exists irrational characteristic which snuffs off the multiple choices of values when people blazon forth the rationality of equipments and format, and advocates efficiency, calculability. The major idea of this thesis is for criticizing the irrational characteristic of McDonladization and arousing the reflection of social McDonaldization.
