Measure Of Knowledge Of Task Difficulty

Improving the efficiency of knowledge work and brainwork is the chief management mission in the 21th century, but the research about it just begin. The variable measure is the foundation of science research and development, and now, one of the biggest obstacles of variable measure is lack of uniform criteria, which making many studies could not be proved true of false. Whether managing the knowledge work variable quantification as well as the degree of quantification is the important symbol of modern management science development level. So, it has great academic and practice significance to measure the management available objectively.In this paper, difficulty is divided into subjective difficulty and objective difficulty, and knowledge work is viewed as a cognitive process. So knowledge work difficulty includes two aspects: mind operation mode difficulty and operation target difficulty. From the perspective of the process, the existence of knowledge work mind operation has been verified, and the difference of mind operation mode causes the difference of difficulty. From the perspective of work target, the target characteristics change would cause the change of difficulty. The mapping relation between difficulty and available characteristics can be proved by the brain wave experiment. The result accord with the psychological and physics law. These provide an idea for subsequence resrearch.On the basis of study above, the paper mainly doesthe research as follow: First, the operation target of knowledge work is knowledge, and the measure of knowledge is the key problem of the knowledge work difficulty measure. On the basic of revealing the limits of the existing knowledge measure ways, this study did the formation of artificial concept (knowledge) experiment. According to the experiment data, it set the mapping relation between the cognitive time and knowledge. Advancing the knowledge measure principles and methods based on the cognitive time, and this provides a simple, easy as well as effective approach for knowledge measure.Second, on the basis of the theory reviewed, it devised the"the questionnaire of knowledge work difficulty structure", and does the confirmative factor analysis by the survey sample data, and according to the difficulty structure model to found the knowledge work difficulty measure model base on the knowledge and its features available (fuzziness, uncertainty, not integrity). The application model can be applied to the knowledge work difficulty measure effectively and simply.This study did the research from the perspective of cognitive, use the cognitive science theories and research methods to measure the knowledge work difficulty, which provided an experiment paradigm of using cognitive science theories in management. The ideas and methods using in this study can generally use in other management science research, and can support the opinion that"the experimental study methods of cognitive science and testing means have broad application prospects in the economic and management research".
