Along with the aggravating competition of telecommunication fields, on the one hand, the traditionary telephone services of fixed-network in China Telecom Co.Ltd. (CT) are becoming more and more decreasing under the formidable impacts of mobile-telephone services, one the other, the emerging broadband business turns into the new economic growth aspect of CT. Combining with the present situation of X telecom firm( a branch of CT), the terminal product in broadband business of CT——ADSL Modem is taken into account. This thesis studies the impact of transshipments to the Ordering Policies of ADSL Modem from the inner supply chain's view. The main contributions in the research can be summed up to the following three aspects:First, modeling and analyzing without transshipments .With the facts of operations of X telecom firm, we could regard production's sales as an linearity function which correlatives with the online time of consumers, and build a non-transshipment ordering model of ADSL Modem under the condition of stochastic demands. Then, continue to work out and analyze the model, and find out the non-transshipment model of X telecom ADSL Modem is a typical newsboy model. Last, connecting with real marketing data, the items of online time, value of production's remains, loss of out of stock are analyzed to discover their influences which take to X telecom firm's order quantities and profits.Second, modeling and analyzing on the condition of transshipments. In the first step, when there are some subsidiary companies which have the partial demands insufficient and the partial stock surplus at the same time, we allow products (such as ADSL Modem) to be transshipped between them, and establish the ADSL Modem ordering model of X telecom under the stochastic demands. Then, continue to work out and analyze the model, and find out the transshipment model of X telecom ADSL Modem is a extanded newsvendor model. Finally, connecting with real marketing data, the three items with transshipments——online time, value of production's remains, loss of out of stock——are analyzed to discover their influences which take to X telecom firm's order quantities and profits. Third, the analysis of the transshipment influence for X telecom firm's Ordering Policies. Through the contrastive analysis of Ordering Policies on the conditions of transshipment and non-transshipment respectively, conclusions from theory and demonstration study are worked out: (1) non-transshipment is the special situation of transshipment. When the quantities of transshipments equal to zero, it turns into the non-transshipment form. (2) The two cases,transshipment and non-transshipment,are not able to compare from optical ordering quantities'view. If the wholesale price of ADSL Modem islower, then the optical ordering quantities with transshipment are less than the non-transshipment situation. If the wholesale price of ADSL Modem is higher, the optical ordering quantities with transshipment are more than the non-transshipment situation. (3) With transshipments, the service level of X telecom firm is enhanced. (4) The total profits of X telecom on the condition of transshipments are much higher than that without them.
