Study Of Domestic Third-party Logistics Enterprises In The Development Of Organizational Models

The development of international economy and trade, the incorporating of global economy and the enhancing furious market competition has influenced and improved the logistics industry. The evolvement of enterprises' operation strategies and the expansion of logistics demand together with the divided tendency of social work have give more and more prominence to 3PL.In the recent decade, a large number of 3PL companies have merged up in domestic market. After entering WTO, especially after the Dec, 2004, a growing number of foreign logistics companies have come to China along with the opening of China's logistics industry which has made the competition of China's logistics industry internationalization. However, at the present time, the development of domestic 3PL companies is lagged behind. Most 3PL companies are middle of small sized ones. They're small in size and many in quantity lacking of modern logistics theories and not forming core competitiveness. The logistics market falls short of effective supply which can be seen from the price competitiveness of low levels between logistics companies and the low quality of logistics supply. The companies fall short of motivation of epibolic logistics and the market falls short of demand. How to improve the competitiveness of domestic 3PL companies and maximize its function in social economy has become a question which attracts the people's attention.In China, the 3PL suppliers are mostly consist of the forwarders of ports and railways, the function is very much restricted. Whereas in the sense of supply chain management of most domestic industry and commerce companies' demands, 3PL suppliers should process companies structure which abide by the present domestic market environment and relatively self-contained correlation functions.This thesis applies the organization boundary theory to logistics companies. Through analyzing all types of logistics function's organization boundary, bring forward the development direction of domestic 3PL companies' organization models. Combining with enterprise core competitiveness theory, take a 3PL company in Shanghai as an example to start the analysis of SWOT on this company to discuss the organization model abiding by its development, then study out all types of operation models which cooperate with manufacture factories.
