As foreign banks are entering because of our country's joining into WTO, the pressure our financial industry is facing is becoming bigger and bigger. Customers are the focus of competition between banks, especially those high quality customers who can provide the bank with bigger contribution. According to the Parento Principle, high quality customers are beginning of profit. Banks which own the majority high quality customers own the competition advantage. Especially when the leading power in the market has changed gradually from bargainers to purchasers, bankers must understand the existing customers' value, search for the object client, dig out potential customers and do customer segmentation, and develop new products to fit customers' needs. At the same time define one's own high quality customers, and provide them with more innovative services, so that we can develop the biggest effect making use of limited resources.China banking corporations surely will undertake the process of standardization with the internationalization of the finance industry, and building the information platform on the Data Warehouse is almost necessaries of all finance corporations. Data warehouse is the leading technology in the international scope, and it has been the new growth area and hotspot, but in China, it is in the period of experiment and discussion.This article overall divides into four major parts, the first part has analyzed the new competition environment which the internal commerce bank locates, proposed carries on to the customer segmentation and keep the high quality customer are the key points for commercial bank in the new competition environment, introduced the article background and its the overall portal frame construction. The second part introduced the basic theories which this article would uses, including the customer segmentation technology and the data warehouse technology.The last two parts are the most important parts of this article. The third part takes the NCR finance logical model as the foundation to discuss how to construct the data warehouse which can support the commerce bank customer segmentation. The NCR finance logical model induces the complex bank services to eight themes. It contains ever areas of bank decision making and customer management, helps bank companies to make deeper analysis in profit, risk, sale and markets. The article makes more detail discuss about the customer theme (as same as the party theme in NCR finance logical model).the last part uses massive lengths to elaborate how to use the data warehouse and the OLAP technology to complete the commercial bank customer segmentation and introduce the multi-dimensional data set production and its the dimension choice and the division, the system hardware platform as well as the final user contact surface. Moreover the article has given some advices for the different category with the different management strategy.
