The impact of Geographic location is congenital and inalterable, depended on the direction of international routes. Industrial base play a very important role at the beginning of the emergence of port industries, But the areas of poor industrial infrastructure also have some advantages; State policies exert great impact on the development path and development speed of port industries. Most developing countries have adopted policies to encourage and support the development of port industries. (b)The development process of port industries because of various ports in different geographic location and different stage of economic development, thereby taking a different development path, can be classified into three paths . Three development paths, in a certain extent, have undertake relations, but many ports after World War II , no such undertaking in accordance with the development of relations, but according to the actual situation, take a suitable choice of its own development path. (c) Port industries in the nearby ports is accumulating under the background of economic globalization, with the global flow of production factors and transfer of industries. The development of port industries showed the trends of the industry association to strengthen and the industrial structure to upgrade. Port industries will follow the "industrial chain extension " and " space expansion to hinterland " in both directions for development.
