Comprehensive Evaluation Of The Pan-prd Regional Logistics Development Level

Modern logistics as advanced organized system and technology, it has been of important resource of profit except of reduction consumption and enhancing labor efficiency in global economic environment, which take part in national economic and social development. Recently, government has realized the strategic meaning of modern logistics to optimize economic structure and improve regional economic competition. Our logistics construction is quickly developing in every region. However, because of lack of scientific and objective index system to evaluate level of logistics, many regions and departments planned and constructed blindly .Pearl River Delta District has serious absence of logistics integration where regional economic integration has been developing .Pan-Pearl River Delta economic cooperation created an urgent demand for regional logistics integration. So we should evaluate and analysis level of Pan-Pearl River Delta logistics for accelerating regional logistics integration.This essay firstly analyses relative thesis of regional logistics developing, secondly studies present situation and problem of regional logistics in Pan-Pearl River Delta, thirdly points out the necessity to built scientific regional logistics index evaluation system, then evaluate and classify to Pan-Pearl River Delta logistics level on the basis of principal component analysis and cluster analysis, conclusively gives some suggestions.The evaluation indexes system was established by selecting six general evaluative indexes and twenty detailed evaluative indexes including social and economical,productive and consumption,information,transportation,resources,environment indexes, then principal component analysis was used to draw the comprehensive evaluation of the regional logistics development in nine provinces or districts of Pan-Pearl River Delta because it can eliminate and information overlap lying multi-indexes. Regional logistics development can classify four levels including Hong Kong and Macao. Cluster analysis was used to classify these regions into several categories according to the new indexes obtained from PCA. Compared to conclusions of PCA and Cluster analysis, it is basically same. The result show that this method can simplify the original complicated problem and lead to an objective, reliable and convincing conclusion. And the method is meaningful to study of other regional logistics development.
