Quality Management System And Process In The Flooring Industry

At present, the process approach is the focus of discussion in the qualitymanagement system certification area. Since the ISO9000: 2000 family of standardsissued, the discussion related to the process approach has been gone on. Due to itsdeep connotation of theory and complexity of operation, the process approachbecomes the stress and difficulty of a quality management system operation and audit.Therefore, ISO/TC176 issued "Guidance on the process approach to QualityManagement Systems" (ISO/TC176/SC2/N544) in December 2000, it is expectedto unite understanding and comprehension about the process approach in the world.Obviously, it is very important.As the theory basis of the ISO9000: 2000 family of standards, the processapproach has far-reaching influence on establishing, implementing, maintainingand improving a quality management system. We have only known essentialcharacter and action rule of a process adequately, and comprehend and apply theprocess approach correctly, then it is possible to ensure both the effectiveness andefficiency of a quality management system, there by enhance theorganization performance in the round.By analyzing deeply the process approach theory, combining with my experienceof consult and audit, this thesis brings forth the "PDCA" mode ofunderstanding and applying the process approach correctly. This mode not onlyreflects the immanent essence of the process approach theory, but also embodies thenotion of total quality management (TQM) and seeking organization performance inthe contemporary management. It is the important tool of assuring operatingeffectively of a quality management system. In the same time, this thesis alsoprovides a basic idea of applying the process approach while organization establishing,maintaining, improving, auditing a quality management system based on theISO9000: 2000 family of standards.
