| With rapid and steady economic development, income and private wealth of Chinese residents continue to grow. Personal banking business became a more and more important field for commercial banks'competition. However, due to late start, personal banking business developing level of Chinese commercial banks is still low. According to the WTO agreement, China removed all geographical restrictions and opened individual RMB business to all foreign banks in 2006, which mean the competition for the personal banking business will be even more intense. Therefore, to conduct in-depth research on the development of personal banking business has practical guidance not only to the bank researched in this paper but also to other commercial banks.This paper studies the personal banking business development strategy of CCB Wuxi branch. Thesis is divided into five parts: the first part is the introduction; the second part starting from the definition of personal banking business, introduces the basic features of personal banking business and its status and role of commercial banks operating; the third part focuses in the personal banking business's history and current situation of CCB and compares the differences in business philosophy between CCB and more advanced foreign bank in China for example HSBC; part fourth from the external environment, organization structure and products and key operating aspects, analyses the strengths and weaknesses of CCB Wuxi branch as well as the opportunities and challenges its facing; finally, using the conclusions from SWOT analysis matrix, presents proposals for the personal banking business development of CCB Wuxi branch from the aspects of strategy, innovation, marketing and risk control as well. |
