| Life insurance industry in China has been developed rapidly since China carried out its open and reform policy, with a growing demand from the construction of a socialist market economy. However, lacking of effective supply to meet an on-growing demand has been a major problem facing China' s life insurance industry. Life insurance companies cannot but enhance innovation to pursue a lasting development. With China' s life insurance industry as its subject, this research defines the concept and meaning of innovation by life insurance companies based on a comprehensive analysis of existing theories. The author analyzes and categorizes their innovation in four aspects, namely property rights system, financial practicing, product and marketing, with a summarization of major accomplishments and striking problems. Foremost, it conduct a comparative analysis of referable experiences and lessons of life insurance companies world-wide, and suggests ways and measures to enhance innovation among China' s life insurance companies. |
