Before the Opium War, the handicraft economy of Zhejiang province had been developed, and it possessed a very important position in nation-wide economy. But in the aspect of market distribution, it was unitary. Only few products were exported, and others were consumed in homeland market. After the Opium War, Zhejiang province lying in the southeast coastal was one of areas suffered western aggression in the earliest time and the most serious. The development and market condition of handicraft economy not only met the big situation of nation-wide, also had the characteristic of Zhejiang province. From the Opium War to the period of Qing government perished, the western aggression force enlarging day by day, the machine industry entered, the newborn way of producing continuously permeated to traditional industries, had made the traditional handicraft occur great change. Some industries had been replaced; some had been disappeared; some had been got development by absorbed the new technology; some had been not got large influence because of the national industries with peculiar culture. From the Market aspect, homeland markets had been got to perfect; because of country door opened, export was much more than before. Therefore, the foreign market had a big development. There still other many factors had caused the changes of the handcraft and it's market distribution in Zhejiang province in late Qing. In which, the paper also is discussed. Studying the handcraft and it's market distribution in Zhejiang province in late Qing, not only can let us see the developing and changing outline of the nation-wide handicraft in this period, also can embody the characteristic of Zhejiang handicraft.
