Suppliers In Green Supply Chain Assessment Study

With the fact that the environment is getting worsen, the countries all over the world more and more attach importance to the protection of environment problem, environmental management becomes a hotspot gradually. It is especially significant for Chinese enterprises, which want to enter international market by enhancing the environmental management and improving the ecological significance performance of their products. Green supply chain management (GSCM) is an effect way to attain this goal. The scope of GSCM is really broad. The evaluation of the supplier plays an important part in the entire green supply chain, and it has a close relationship with other questions. So, the paper mainly discusses the evaluation of the supplier, tries to have a comprehensive evaluation of the supplier to manage the supplier well.On the basis of studying both the domestic and international researches, understanding the current situation about environment management in china, this paper puts forward the question which green supplier will be selected. Data collection has been made with a questionnaire, which is elaborately designed according to the literatures and opinions from environmental experts home and abroad. First, statistical package of social science (SPSS) has been used as the software tool for data analysis. Main factors of affecting the supplier select have been identified according to the results of exploratory factor analysis of the data. The suppliers are evaluated with the fuzzy analytic hierarchy analysis. A set of evaluation procedure is established. Then, this paper researches the evaluation of suppliers taking the automobile tire purchase and supply as example. The research demonstrated that, the mark of environment achievement in the manufacturing process among these five tire suppliers is obvious, but the mark of environment achievement in the environmental management is not obvious. Moreover the product green achievement is effected by the laws and regulations. All suppliers do better in this, but there is still an improvement space.This evaluation procedure is not only used to evaluate the suppliers, but to compare whether the evaluation standard is appropriate. At the same time, the suppliers can find the evaluation indicators to be improved on the base of this result. This method is easier to evaluate the suppliers than the traditional method, and when the data quantity is big, this method can reduce the influence of the evaluation time and the uncertainty of the data.
