Empowerment is one of extremely noticeable management questions in the recent several dozens years. It has already been proved in the west multitudinous business management practice that scientific empowerment management can enhance the management efficiency of the enterprise.Recently, insides have realized the importance of Empowerment Management and gradually applied it to their practice. Unfortunately, few local study and experience are available due to its short history of study on the new idea in China.There is a great power distance between supervisor and subordinate in Chinese society, which presents a sharp contrast to that in the west. The paper studies the features of supervisor and subordinate, and the fact how the relationship between them impacts empowerment. The author mainly discusses three abilities of supervisors, namely, ability to make decision, ability to motivate staff, ability to monitor and control, personality and working ability of subordinates, relationship between supervisor and subordinate, the fact how the trust on subordinates impact empowerment from authorities, as well as the fact how the empowerment to and trust on employee impact their work autonomy.The conclusions of this study are as below:(1) Among the factors above, supervisor's ability to motivate, subordinates' loyalty to organization and desire to benefit others, the relationship between them play a positive role in empowerment, others are less efficient.(2) Supervisor's trust on subordinates is sorted two types, occupational trust and additional trust. Subordinates' working ability, affect between supervisors and subordinates and the unrelated "yuan" play a positive role in supervisor's occupational trust on subordinates. Subordinates' tool-natured plays a positive role in supervisor's additional trust on subordinates.(3) Work autonomy of employees is sorted two types, prophase of work autonomy and anaphase of work autonomy. Both types are greatly impacts by empowering. Occupational trust plays a positive role in prophase of work autonomy, but plays a negative role in anaphase of work autonomy. Supervisor's additional trust on subordinates plays a positive role in anaphase of work autonomy.
