Nowadays, the European Union(EU) is the largest regional economic and trade group in the world, after 50 years' successful operation, the total foreign trade value has exceeded USA ,and took the first place in the world. On May 1st 2005, EU which become 25 countries , is the largest trade partner. Because of EU's important position in international economy and trade partnership of china ,it is of great theoretical and practical significance on studying EU's foreign trade policy. Such being the case, on the basis of the achievements in scientific research, the paper studies systematically on EU's foreign trade policy, also, on influence that EU's foreign trade policy upon China-European trade relations.The paper consists of a preface, concluding remarks and five chapters of the main body. Its main contents are as follows:Preface. In the part, the author mainly introduces the important position of EU as an economic and trade group in the world, so as to lead to the theoretical and practical significance on studying EU's foreign trade policy.Chapter one. Through the implication and essence of EU's foreign trade policy, the author indicates the main difference between EU and other economic bodies is that EU should consider needs of both economy integration and every member country.Chapter two .the author focus on the organizations of EU's foreign trade policy, they mainly include: European parliament, European Commission, European Union council, European Court of Justice .this part discusses the function of these organizations at first ,then analyses the procedure of drawing EU's foreign trade policy.Chapter three discusses the law frame of EU's foreign trade policy. It comprises foreign common trade policy , common customs tariff, common trade protection policy.
