Since 1996 Jinjiang Star as China's first economy hotel brand was founded in Shanghai, economy hotels began a course of development. In recent years, domestic and foreign brands have entered China's economy hotel market and accelerated the pace of expansion. Many investors'enthusiasm in the economy hotel industry makes it become the new and hot spot of hotel investment. Facing with an increasingly competitive environment, it is increasingly becoming aprominent pressing issue that how to make China's economy hotel enterprises occupy certain competition advantages in the new competitive market and to deepen the cost management reform of China's economy hotel industry. Therefore, to strengthen the study on the strategic cost management method is of great significance which can advance the application and popularization of the technology and methods in China's economy hotel industry.This paper first describes the background, purpose and meaning, constructs the research framework and methods of the full text, explains the concept, characteristics, procedures and methods of cost control, proposes the strategic cost management theory and analyses the basic principles, framework, characteristics and goals of strategic cost management. Then this paper analyzes the basic development condition of China's economy hotels, points out the business problems and explains the necessity of cost control in China's economy hotels industry. Next this article makes the value chain analysis, value engineering analysis and strategic cost drivers analysis, constructs the two-dimensional model based on the analysis, proposes strategic cost control methods based on the model and build the two-dimensional analysis model based on the low-cost strategy. Strategic cost management methods being applied to China's economy hotel industry, this article builds the two-dimensional analysis model of China's economy hotels and proposes the effective measures on the cost control of economy hotels based on the two-dimensional model. At last, thisarticle points out effective measures for cost control of China's economy hotels.
