The navigation co-scheduling system of the Three Gorges Dam and the Gezhouba Dam is a particular navigation scheduling system on the Three Gorges reach of the Yangtze River. The traffic on the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River has became busy. In order to enhance the transportation capacity of the Three Gorges Dam, a scheduling system must be designed. This collaborative scheduling is called navigation co-scheduling and the feasible and effective algorithms of it is the main objective of this thesis. Considering the uniqueness of the Three Gorges Project, the navigation co-scheduling of the two dams is lack of research both theoretically and methodologically.The navigation co-scheduling system is a multi-objective problem, the mathematical model is designed, which includes three objective functions defined by the characteristics of the ship locks. To minimizing the total ships waiting time with the scheduling principle of navigation constraints and maximize the whole navigation capability, a reasonable time sequence and scheduling arrangements for the ship flow are made, according to the ship flow, the characteristic of the ships, navigation condition, navigation capability, sea-route condition, etc.The factors which affect the weight of the ships are complex, and they change with the conditions of the time and the outer environment, so it is hard to analyze quantitatively. In the terms of such aspects, a weight mode of ships including dynamic weight and static weight is designed in this thesis. Static weight is obtained by binary coding according to the basic information of ships, and the composite weight is calculated by considering the static weight and the waiting time of ships.Currently, Simulation optimization based on methods of target-optimization of stimulation has been a hot and new topic in the fields of system simulation, operational research and so on. The features and hardness of simulation optimization and the advantages of heuristic intelligent algorithm are introduced. Focusing on the relationship between simulation and optimization, the principle of simulation optimization with heuristic intelligent algorithm is designed for solving the navigation co-scheduling problem. Simulation optimization takes the frequency, the timetable sequence and scheduling arrangements as the decision variable, using genetic algorithm and ant colony algorithm to optimizes the feasible solution.The entire problem of this thesis is simulated using Matlab. The experiment results show that the simulation optimization designed in this thesis is feasible and efficient with high quality, fast speed, and strong adaptability, and give a new approach to The navigation co-scheduling of the Three Gorges Dam and Gezhouba Dam on generation, optimization and improvement.
